Maddox & Jules
a high school rivalry turned real-life love story..
“Maddox and I grew up in the Mississippi River Delta on opposite sides of the river – I am from Arkansas and he is from Mississippi (this friendly rivalry will never die lol). Our high schools played each other in sports and we always had a crush on each other, however we did not start dating until after we both moved back to the Delta after graduating college – I am an Arkansas Razorback and he is a Mississippi State Bulldog. I knew from our first “official” date that he was the one! A little over a year later, he proposed! Over the last year our love for each other has grown more than we ever could have imagined loving another human. We truly feel so blessed to have found our soulmate and cannot wait to spend forever with each other. We love all things nature: hunting, fishing, gardening, hiking, horseback riding, farming (we both grew up on farms), and more. He is a crop advisor for Helena Chemical and I work for a community bank that does a little bit of everything, but is mainly centered around Ag lending to our local farmers. We absolutely love our region, but have always dreamed of going out West to experience the beautiful scenery and another side of the agriculture industry! This will be our first time to Montana and our only time before we are married, so we couldn’t imagine a better way to capture this special time of our relationship than in the most beautiful place in the country!“
Jules and Maddox were an out of state couple vacationing to Montana for the first time. Their trip was mainly focused on the Big Sky Music Festival but they decided to take advantage of our gorgeous state and get their engagement photos done while they were here. Jules found me on tiktok and she was so excited about having their photos taken in Montana. The original plan was to do something simple, but beautiful, with water and mountains. I decided that they needed to really experience what Montana had to offer and convinced them to do their photos in Glacier National Park.. and let me tell ya.. they LOVED it!! I love Glacier National Park because it has such a massive variety of scenery. From lakes and rivers, to streams and trees, to huge mountain views, the whole park is just incredible. It’s something everyone needs to experience at least once. Neither of them had ever been to the park before and they got to experience those incredible Mountain views for the first time. Jules was ecstatic! I told them about the drive to logan pass and how iconic of a drive it is and convinced them to stop at Big Bend to do their photos. Maddox had one request.. he wanted waterfalls. Of course, we had to get them some photos with waterfalls! We stopped at Cascade Falls on the way to the park, I’ve never seen someone so excited about waterfalls! It was like Maddox hadn’t never seen a waterfall before and he was starstruck! We spent about half an hour taking photos at the falls before moving on to Glacier National Park. They stayed in their casual outfits for a few shots at Big Bend and then Jules changed into a very clean and classic white gown. It was beautiful! We ended the session with her in her dress and their rented Bronco in the background.
This couple came to Montana for a music festival and a few photos.. they left Montana with the adventure of a lifetime!
